Electronic voice phenomena (EVP) or "spirit voices" are electronically generated noises resembling speech, but are not the result of intentional voice recordings or renderings. Recordings of EVP are often created from background sound by increasing the gain (i.e. sensitivity) of the recording equipment, usually digital recorders or camera microphones.
The Ghost Adventures Crew usually replays any captured EVPs three times, with "enhanced audio" and subtitles.
